While we believe you will enjoy it too, we understand it can be uncomfortable meeting with a new financial planner for the first time. For this reason, we have created a simple six-step process to give you a no-pressure method to determine if we are a good fit for each other. There is no cost or obligation to start this process, and if nothing else, you will learn something new for your situation.
During this meeting, we will get to know you and your goals. Most of our time together will be spent listening to you. We want to know:
What is important to you? What is your current level of financial confidence? What are your greatest concerns? What questions do you want answered? How have you attempted to solve your issues?
We will give you some instant feedback to help you on your financial journey. We will also tell you where we think we can help and explain our process and fees.
If you decide you want to engage us to prepare a Retirement LifeMap plan for you, we will send you a link to our secure, state-of-the-art planning portal, along with instructions on what information to provide and how to provide it.
We make no judgements on your past financial decisions. We accept that you are where you are, and the important thing is to determine how to get where you want to go. Thus, we will use our extensive education, experience and resources to analyze your situation, specifically in light of 5 key questions:
Can I afford to retire when I want? Can I reduce my income taxes? Can I improve my portfolio? Can I eliminate or reduce risks to my plans? What can I do to improve my success?
During this meeting, we will explain in plain English the results of our analysis for your Retirement LifeMap plan. We will tell you:
Are you on track? What can you do to achieve or improve your success? What are the answers to our 5 key questions? What are the strategies that address your specific concerns and needs?
We will also tell you if and how we can help going forward and explain our process and fees.
We do not want anyone to make a decision to work with us until they can answer "yes" to some important questions:
Do you trust us? Do you believe we understand you and your needs? Do you believe the benefits we will provide you will exceed the cost of our services? Do our recommendations make sense? Do you understand and agree with our investment philosophy?
During this meeting, we will answer any questions that might have come up since our last meeting. When all your questions have been addressed, if you're ready to move forward, we will start the paperwork to become a client. We will make it as painless as possible and keep you in the loop throughout the process.
